Most data centers are using the same raised floor the industry used 50 years ago.  If you aren't using the same servers, cooling units and power systems they had in the 1960s, why should you be using the same floor?

  •  Can be designed and built with more reinforcement in certain parts of the floor (high traffic areas, switchgear rooms)
  •  Can easily withstand 1,500 lb/ft²
  •  Can easily be upgraded in the future:
    •  Bergvik engineers take your data (new equipment footprint & weight), plug it into the site’s existing floor plan (kept on file) and provide a complete “upgrade” package.
    • Typical example: Want to add more PDUs?  Simply add  Bergvik support columns and floor joists to that area and the load capacity is increased
    • Extreme example: Want to add a 30,000 lbs switchgear lineup?  Simply add Bergvik support columns and floor joists to that area and the load capacity is increased
  • Can embed multi-colored symbols INTO the floor tiles, under the topcoating, to denote items like: valves, piping, egress paths, CRAH/PDU Tag #, etc.)
  • Can provide a common mounting point for electrical, mechanical and data raceways, conduit and piping.
  • Provides an underfloor plenum area with far fewer obstructions than the standard 2’ x 2’ raised floor.
    • Better airflow and open space for dropping of EC Plenum fans
